I’ve found that the publications that center on photography usually do a poor job of just that, no matter how high-end they advertise themselves to be.

A couple of magazines that I enjoy, and have great photography, are The Rodder’s Journal and The Fretboard Journal. I could care less about guitars, but I get the Fretboard Journal simply for it’s photography. The Rodder’s Journal is of the same level, only with hot rods and old racecars. Also, you may want to take a look at Garage Magazine. It’s published and edited by Jesse James of West Coast Choppers fame. It’s definitely of a different tune, from photography through writing.

It’s refreshing that all of the above publications really focus on the reader and the content vs. advertising and gear. You won’t find any reviews in any of the above publications.
