PT,

You don't think there is focus on the face? Or not a face worth focusing on?

Reader - Fashion, glamour, and portraiture. Specifically we focus on lighting techniques for location and studio settings. I use Aperture or (LR at participants request) only for tethered shooting demonstrations and for slideshows during the review sessions that we have in the evenings during the workshop. I do completely separate workshops for workflow and asset management using both LR2 and Aperture2

Nobody? - I will do my best to post a few here and there - if you have some specifics let me know.

Brian - Actually I use Speedotron and Profoto equipment in most of my lighting workshops but I could get the same thing done with portable strobes like SB900's - just a little more ISO on the camera (maybe) and longer recycle time between shots (drives me crazy for fashion things).

Are you using SB800's or 900's on this? I doubt it - just thinking based on nobody's comment.

Just curious - what kind of subjects are your workshops about? Do you teach Aperture or LR in them too?

Got an email question about location and cost of the lighting workshops. I tend to hold them locally (to me) due to rising transportation costs. I hold workshops in MD, Eastern PA, and Southern NJ. On occasion I will do them in the Caribbean and Mexico. The group sizes are 6-10 photographers. The cost is $400-$1000 for a weekend (Sat - Sun) workshop. This includes location, models, and equipment (except for camera/lenses). The cost varies based on location, group needs, and models.
If there is interest in another location let me know I am willing to travel for groups of 8-10 participants.
